Growing up, the news was always on in our house. It's what gave my family topics to talk about throughout the day. It's how we knew when the next storm was approaching and whether to get a few extra groceries while we were out shopping.  We turned to the faces on screen for the answers. Television news has always been the constant in my life. Ultimately it drove me to become the energetic and passionate story teller I am today, in hopes of providing that same sense of trust and knowledge to the viewers who welcome me into their homes through their TV sets.

I am the current weekend anchor and reporter for WTEN in Albany, New York. As a reporter I traveled to cover the Sandy Hook School shooting and Boston Marathon bombings. I've covered everything locally from city council meetings, to community events and crime. I have also worked on in-depth stories exposing the dangers of drugs peddled on social media sites like Instagram. In 2015, I was granted access into two different state prisons to show viewers how puppies are trained behind bars with state prisoners and go on to become service dogs for U.S. veterans.

My role as weekend anchor has allowed me to become a leader in the newsroom, from guiding younger reporters and producers, to deciding what stories need more attention. I've handled breaking news on the desk including the Dannemora Prison Break.
